In this mini lecture, I talk about the history of the platonic solids. I also go through why there are only five of them.

If you want to get your own set of magnetic tiles, these are the ones I used in the video (none of them are sponsors, yet :)):

Pentagon magntetic tiles (Magna Tiles)

You will need three sets of these tiles to be able to make the dodecahedron. The diamonds are just extra. These tiles are compatible with the Picasso Tiles

Equilateral triangles: (PicassoTiles)

You will need two sets of these tiles to make the icosahedron.

Squares: (Picasso Tiles)

You just need one of these kits should be good to make the cube.
